Name an attraction or town close to home that you still haven’t got around to visiting.

If you’ve seen any of the “Lord of the Rings” movies–that’s New Zealand. Unbelievably beautiful.

I’ve always wanted to visit the places depicted in the movie. The great forest Rivendell, home of the Elves. The soaring peaks and plains of Rohan. The great river Anduin with its icy blue rushing water and pebbly banks. The pastoral Shire, the soaring Misty Mountains.

All of my kids are into the LOTR; I read it to them when they were little and we’ve seen all the movies. My oldest daughter and I had made travel plans several years ago, but my dad passed away and we never made it. But I’m suddenly hearing the horns of the Rohirrim again, so I need to start packing 🙂
